Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Strategies

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social communication, social interaction, and restricted and repetitive patterns in behavior, interests, and activities. Symptoms are present in early development, affect daily functioning, and ASD presentation, severity, and symptoms vary widely. This training has been developed to provide staff with an increased understanding and acceptance of Autism, provide strategies and techniques for professional caregivers to improve how they interact with youth with ASD, and increase comfort dealing with challenging behaviors of youth with ASD.
- Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the dates of the ILCs
- If there are not 10 participants registered for each ILC 3 days prior to the ILCs, the ILCs may be cancelled
- A few days prior to each virtual ILC, you will receive an email with the link to join the ILC
- Participants who are more than 15 minutes late will not receive credit for ILCs
