Talk Saves Lives,

Synopsis: Talk Saves LivesTM: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention is a standardized, 45-60 minute presentation that provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what they can do in their communities to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe.

In this Zoom presentation, advocates will learn the about the following:
– Scope of the Problem
– Research
– Prevention
– What You Can Do

Participants will receive 1 hour of continuing education credit.

Biography:
Bridget Battafarano is the Education Specialist at Community Alliance. She has almost 15 years of experience in human services and is passionate about mental health education as a path to empowerment and dignity. Bridget represents the collaboration between Community Alliance and AFSP Nebraska in raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.
