Other Important CASA Events

Sarpy County CASA is frequently in the news and has several events each year to support foster children and the CASAs that advocate for them.

Much of what we do isn’t recorded on a public calendar.  For instance, the CASAs meet their assigned child(ren) as well as the parties connected to each case. Finally, the CASAs make presentations to the juvenile court judge.

We welcome your involvement as a CASA or in any other capacity.  Please Contact Us to let us know of your interest in the well-being of children involved in the Sarpy County Nebraska juvenile court system. Donations of any size are most welcome.

Back to School Bash

Before school starts in the fall, this CASA child-centered event features some back-to-school shopping and fun activities. To get involved,  Contact us for more information. You can also call our office at (402) 593-2259.

CASA Appreciation Week

In April, we honor our CASA’s with various events, gifts and tokens of appreciation. Support Sarpy CASAs and prefer a short-term time commitment? This is a great opportunity!

CASA Holiday Giving Tree

The Giving Tree provides Christmas gifts to to about 200 children in foster care served by Sarpy County CASA.

Here is how it works. First, businesses or organizations let us know the how many of children they want to provide gifts for (5 kids, 20 kids, 50 kids, etc). So they have time to purchase items, we forward the children’s wish lists to businesses or organizations mid-November. They send the unwrapped gifts to Sarpy CASA the first week of December. We wrap the gifts. Finally, the CASA volunteer delivers the presents to the child.
