DESCRIPTION:The four-day Core training is designed to give practitioners a skills-oriented foundation for domestic abuse-informed practice. Participants will receive experiential classroom learning\, using practice tools\, discussing cases\, practicing interviews and developing action plans to implement the Safe & Together Model into their practice. \nCore training covers: \n\nIdentifying the impact of domestic violence on children and family functioning\nGathering a fact-based assessment of the perpetrators’ behavior patterns\nPartnering with survivors of domestic violence\nIntervening with perpetrators\nUnderstanding how domestic violence intersects with other issues like substance abuse and mental health\n\nClick here to register for this training. \nPlease submit a short summary or a certificate (if received) to Alexis to receive 7 hours of continuing education.
