Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

January 11: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Nebraska CASA Association is pleased to announce a free virtual webinar, entitled, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). Katelyn Wilee, Education & Compliance Program Manager, CASA for Douglas County and Christina Millsap, NE CASA Association Training Director will be hosting this statewide training.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a holistic approach that is multidisciplinary, flexible, attachment-centered, and challenging. It is an evidence-based, trauma-informed intervention that is specifically designed for children who come from hard places, such as maltreatment, abuse, neglect, multiple home placements, and violence; but you will see that the principles apply to all children. TBRI consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering, Correcting Principles, which you will learn more about in this training module.

In this Zoom workshop, advocates will be able to: – Identify behaviors as a result of trauma – Gain insight into trauma-informed engagement with CASA children – Recognize the importance of advocating for trauma-informed interventions.

Please click here to register for this webinar. Please submit a short summary or certificate of completion (if received) to your supervisor to receive 2 hours of continuing education.

***This will be recorded, so if you are not able to attend, register to receive the recorded link. You will then need to submit a synopsis of this to your supervisor to earn credit.
