In this module, addiction and recovery interventions and their relevance to child welfare practice are discussed. The module covers screening for problematic alcohol use and useful tools. Three psychosocial interventions that work well for addiction are covered: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and 12-Step Facilitation.
